Product Specs (Water Absorption)
Water Absorption (WA) and Surface Protection
Erfan International Tile Company ensures the long-term durability of its ceramic tiles through the use of advanced surface protection technology.
-
While the surface of our ceramic tiles is naturally resistant to water, the edges remain susceptible to water absorption in their uncoated state.
-
To address this, all ceramic tile panels are coated with WRD nano-materials after final installation at their permanent location.
Performance Results:
This significant reduction demonstrates the effectiveness of the nano-coating in sealing exposed areas and preventing moisture penetration.
We have tested this nano material over a period of more than 4 years, with consistently positive results in real-world applications. It has proven especially effective in protecting exterior ceramic tile panels installed on domes, minarets, and other architectural elements exposed to harsh weather and humidity.
Certified performance documentation from the nano material supplier is provided below.
This advanced treatment makes our ceramic tiles fully suitable for both interior and exterior decorative applications, ensuring aesthetic and structural integrity over time.

Frost Resistance
Erfan International Tile Company's ceramic tiles are frost resistant and suitable for use in a variety of outdoor decorative applications, including those exposed to harsh and freezing weather conditions.
-
While the tile surface and structure are resilient under normal outdoor conditions, spaces between tiles—such as joints and edges—can be vulnerable to frost-related damage if left untreated.
-
To ensure full protection, we apply WRD nano coating to the entire tile panel after final installation, including joints and exposed edges.
Result:
This protective treatment allows our tiles to be safely and confidently used on domes, facades, minarets, and exterior walls, ensuring long-term durability and preservation in cold climates.
